The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work couples workshop is based on Dr. John Gottman’s New York Times Best Selling book, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. You may have heard of Dr. Gottman’s world renowned fame as “the guy who can predict divorce with 94% accuracy”. His 40 years of research with over 3,000 couples has revolutionized the field of couple’s therapy and served as the backbone of couples therapy practice worldwide. Dr. Gottman has been able to distill with empirical evidence what actually makes relationships last and ultimately what will tear them apart. It is with the foundation of Dr. Gottman’s research and proven relationship enhancement strategies that I bring to you, the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work.

What should I expect?
You can expect energetic, charismatic and smart presenters who are not here to be your therapist but instead your teacher. This is not couple’s therapy. This marriage enrichment course is intended to be educational while also deeply helpful. Through a combination of lecture, exercises, readings and journaling, you will be able to take what you learn in class and immediately apply it at home. You will NOT be sharing personal details of your relationship with the class leaders or with other couples in the class. Phew…sigh of relief. The class will be set in a small lecture style format as well as breakout space for you to work on exercises with your partner. You can expect to learn, grow and have fun. You can also expect that you may be working on bettering your relationship by exchanging old habits for new, better habits that will strengthen your relationship. Changing out old habits for new habits takes time and can be tough, but boy is it worth it! You can expect to feel closer and more connected to your partner once finishing this marriage enrichment course.
What the marriage enrichment clinic is not:
- It is not therapy
- It is not an open sharing of personal problems. All exercises and discussions will occur privately between you and your partner.
Flexible & Convenient:
We know that your time and money is precious. Hey, ours is too. We have tried to remove a few of the major hurdles that many experience when making the commitment to better their relationship.
- Our clinic times are in the evening from 6-8 pm after work. You don’t have to sacrifice a weekend or take time off of work.
- Childcare is included….yes, you did read this correctly. We have childcare onsite. Bring the kids and let them hang out while you do something incredibly positive for your family.
When & Where:
The marriage enrichment clinic is offered several times a year. Each clinic is held on Thursday evenings from 6 pm – 8 pm. Up-coming dates will be announced. You may join our mailing list to be notified for the upcoming schedule. Occasionally we offer a weekend workshop. TBA.
Registration:
The cost of registration is per couple (not per partner) and includes all Seven Principles Program materials which includes a copy of the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work book and two workbooks, light refreshments, and childcare. Registration for the clinic closes two weeks prior to the first session. Please register early by clicking on the buy now button. Cancellation Policy:
If you are unable to attend the clinic that you registered for, we are more than happy to roll your registration over to the next clinic or any upcoming clinics within a year of your purchase date. We do not issue refunds but will gladly assist in finding a seat in an upcoming clinic that works better with your schedule.
